Guest guest
Hi all, A you know I am going to my new rheumy on tuesday. I need to fkind some pain meds that actually work for me. I am currently on Lortab and Ultram but both do pretty much nothing for me. I was put on Darvocet for my plurisy but all it did was make me tired. Does anyone have any meds they can recommend? I need something that will ease the pain but not make me " loopy " as I have the kids to care for. Any and all advice is welcome. hugs to all Sandie
Guest guest
Sandie I was on Davocet, it was like being in one continuous brain fart....Not fun at all and it wasn't helping much. I told my rheumy I needed a pain killer that could let me have a clearer head and he put me on Vicodin. Believe it or not, the Vicodine does let me have a clearer head and it was helping with the pain for a while but now it seems to only take the edge off the pain. But that seems to happen to me with all pain meds. That and I guess my body has gotten worst... I do get a bit tired with the Vicodine but not as bad as with the Darvocet. This is what happened with me, it could be different for you. Everybody's body chemistry is different and it can be very frustrating to find the drugs that work best for you. I think we all can attest to that. You could ask your rheumy what he/she thinks. in Ct. slmcc93@... wrote: > Hi all, > A you know I am going to my new rheumy on tuesday. Guest guest
Hi: and it seems to be the opposite for me..........I am on Darvocet and hate the way Vicodin makes me feel......and Darvocet only takes the edge off the pain but that is better than nothing ........guess cause I have been on it for years..but i don't feel like it is a heavy duty narcotic and my rheumy gives me enuf every month with no questions....... Yes, different drugs work differently on everyone........ Guest guest
Dear , Please read my post #75210. Scroll down toward the bottom to the section on " Opiate Pain Meds " for information re " tolerance " since that seems to be what you are describing. Might be helpful.
