Nobody *wants* erysipelas. But, really, where'd you pull that one out from? I've not heard of it at all though, sure enough, Stedman's Concise has a sizable listing: erysipelas A specific, acute, cutaneous inflammatory disease caused by *-hemolytic streptococci and characterized by hot, red, edematous, brawny, and sharply defined eruptions; usually accompanied by severe constitutional symptoms. Syn: rose(1). (Of the 20th century, not my early 70s, Chuck. I'm not even gonna give you that opening.) I have to admit that I had to verify the spelling before submitting it, however. My memory thinks it's in its LATE 70s. And, , I'm glad it helped. Jayni
