Hi Kathy...I'm sorry you're going through all this. My Mom feels

similarly to your Mom, to the point sometimes that I worry she is too

worried and sometimes won't even try a medication for herself because

she is too afraid of side effects. Sometimes we can't help needing a

medicine, and it can be a " double edge sword " but what else can we do?

I know your rheumy appt will go well, kiddo...it is on my birthday! : )

Much love...

Tess

streak of good luck!! i won tickets last month to see the band styx. y'all knoi

grand opening of their summer tour at a brand new venue in chicago. it's our

old city airport meigs field, but now called northerly island. i am a member of

the fan club and ordered my tickets thru there. (which i just rec'd today)

18th row center stage, plus i got an invite card to rush the stage during a

certain song!!! wait there's more. i won 2 tickets to the preview concert

Thursday thru a radio station in town!!! i am also entered into 2 more contest

for tickets to the Saturday night show. so wish me luck!! my first vacation in

9 yrs for fun!! no dr appt not being sick, no surgery!!! anybody else want to

rub me?? hard to believe 3 yrs ago i sat in my house and watched life go by.

i was in so much pain and was so sick all i could do was cry. i remember

writing a 4 page letter to my rheumi that made her cry. when she told me we

both cried. so i guess i am trying to say to all the people suffering. it

thanks paula, i also had some good news from the foot dr today. i got to see

a younger dr. with newer ideas and he suggested a brace that would fit into

my shoe that i could wear when i needed it. sounds better than cutting again

in the same area. better yet, he said it is covered by medicare. i think it is

a better way for me to go all around.

Kathy,

So many people get better and LEAVE the group. I'm so glad you're here

to tell people that there is live with RA, and that it is very possible

that with the right medications, a normal life can be had.

Congratulations on winning the tickets. I'm hoping your good luck

continues.

Be careful rushing that stage! I'm so happy for you.
