Guest guest
When I looked up Aspergillus in Stedman's Derm and Immunology Word book, it was capitalized even when it was used as an adjective, i.e. Aspergillus osteomyelitis. According to Stedman's Bacterial Words, since Aspergillus is the genus name, it should always be capitalized. I would " assume " that even though this is a fungus, the same rule would apply. It also stated that when the genus name and the species name were used together they should be set apart from the rest of the text by either italizing or underlying it, but never in quotations.
