Guest guest
Hi Janine - I can't help you with your medication concerns, although I do know that there are numerous medications for ADHA. I just wanted to say that I am from WI too. We live way up north in Price Co. My son, Joe, is 9 years old and was diagnosed with OCD at 71/2. He was quite severe at the time but is doing remarkably well at this time. We had a very hard time finding a psychologist to do ERP with him, but we finally found one in Madison. It was a long trip every week but well worth it. She agreed to do phone therapy with him once school started. He no longer needs to see her because we are able to design our own exposure at home and Joe is now pretty good at bossing. Eliza in WI WHERE WE LIVE HI All, Thanks so much for the advice! It is nice to know there are others going through the same things! We live in Wisconsin. Codi is starting school on Monday I think I am more nervous at this point than he is. I just keep remembering what last year was like, he behave pretty well at school, but not interact with anyone really, then come home and be so high strung I didn't know what to do. I have looked on a couple of the mental health web sites but not been able to find anything less than an hour away for support groups or anything. Codi's ritalin does help settle him down alot, without it he is just talking non-stop and flying around the house, but I do believe it does make him more nervous. But, what else is there for the hyper activity? Thanks for listening! Janine-from Wisconsin You may subscribe to the OCD-L by emailing listserv@... .
