Guest guest
Tawny, Hi, I'm Kim and joined the group a short while back. I think that you were in transition then. I just wanted to send you a special hello and let you know that you inspire me to trudge on and I want to thank you for that! I have read some things pertaining to you and your situation and I'm sorry that I haven't replied b-4 now. I too am with a truck driving man. That is what really has caused all the delays in my condition. I was either gone or something. I gave the just lay around on the truck a whirl and that didn't work out so well. He is currently working local and he is of no real support to me, unfortunately. I think that I would of bought it if I hadn't of come across this group! I have a brother who has served in Iraq twice thus far. He was in the group of the 3rd. infantry that took baghdad airport and the 1st. presidential palace. Man was that a tough time for me! He was a marine the 1st. gulf war, so I knew how much of an acheivemnt to get to baghdad was for him. He just re- uped the other day for another 6 years then he can retire. I worry so much about him. I can't imagine what all you have been through with worry about your daughter. I'm praying for you both and hope the situation resolves itself soon! Man, I was tore up when she was mia. Anyhow, you amaze me with all the stuff you are going through and you still seem to manage to respond to the group and various individuals with loving support and kind words. I just want to thank you again! I think that you are awesome! Kim
Guest guest
Kim, Thank you for the kind words, my friend. You do know what I go through with the spouse, not any fun. I found out real quick in my condition, that is no place to be on the truck. It looks like we are in the same boat, we have to find our support somewhere else. This is the best place to be, the RA family. It has been hard worrying about my daughter. I am going to have to accept her choices she has made, and just continue to support, and pray for her. We use to be so close, and she was always the little angel. So, quite the change she has made, but that is what happens when you choose the wrong type people. Gosh, I would also be scared if my brother was over there. He is a very strong soldier who believes in fighting for his country. You are scared, and I know you are so proud of him. I will keep him on my prayer list, what is his name if you don't mind. My daughter was suppose to go to Iraq this year, and I was terrified. But, she is now going to be thrown out of the military with a dishonorable discharge. There is always a reason for everything, and this is one of them, I believe. I'm so glad you wrote, I have missed all my friends here. I'm so glad to be back online, and to belong somewhere. I try to reach out to people, it helps me in so many ways. If I can just reach out to someone, it makes my heart feel a little better. You take care of yourself, and email me sometime. Hugs, Tawny > Tawny, Hi, I'm Kim and joined the group a short while back.
