Guest guest
Well, I went and had the ultrasound on my leg, 7 days after I complained about it. Not surprising, they didn't find anything. The tech said it had probably dissolved itself throughout the weekend. Believe it or not my pcp called me this morning. She wanted to know what was going on. Nice huh? I told her what happened at the clinic Monday and how I was left waiting while the staff took their lunch. I also told her I had been taking the vicodin for the thigh pain, so therefore would be running out sooner then usual. No comment there. She asked about the ultrasound, and I told her I was having it today, but it wasn't as painful and I figured it was too late, which is why I didn't want to go get the ultrasound done. Now if they had done it Monday that would have worked out. She said she would call me when she gets the results. As far as my T-3 and T-4, they aren't out of normal range, but they also aren't consistant. Still haven't heard from the hospital about having my thyroid ultrasound. I got a letter today saying I have medicaid, go figure, but they drastically lowered my food stamps (what a surprise). But I got through the day and as soon as all these tests are done and I am on my way to stablizing, I am going to start interviewing for a new doctor, one who believes in Fibromyalgia and Hashimotos, and the other conditions that cause me pain. Thanks for all the support. Blessings, DAyle
Guest guest
Good for you in looking for a doc who believes in those diseases and most of all...in you. Mine does. What a difference it makes. He listens to me and BELIEVES me. Every complaint I've had has shown something. Fibro is invisible in a sense but those trigger points can give clues...and some really righteous pain when they goof with them. You do need a doc who believes in you and the disease. I've had the idiots of the medical world say some of the dumbest stuff I've ever heard. I don't tell them I used to be an RNC and what not. I just love to hear them try to pull their crap on me when they least expect someone to understand that's what they are doing. Lazy, lazy docs. They seriously try to bluff you. That still floors me. I call it neglect. They should have the decency to recommend you to someone that does understand. Try those pain advocate sites to help steer you right if need be. Good luck to you. *¬*.¸¸.·´¨`»*«´¨`·.¸¸.*¬* On the internet, no one knows you're a cat. ~*~StrykerMom~*~ *¬*.¸¸.·´¨`»*«´¨`·.¸¸.*¬* --- whisperstarbeam wrote: > Well, I went and had the ultrasound on my leg, 7 > days after I > complained about it.
