WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLOR TO BE SURROUNDED BY? THESE ARE SOME OF WHAT THE

INFLUENCES COLORS HAVE ON US. MY COLOR IS BLUE AND FEEL THE BEST WHEN I AM

SURROUNDED BY BLUES.

Did you know that the color of our walls can influence our emotional and

physical health? " It is believed that different colors interact differently with

the endocrine system to stimulate or inhibit hormonal production, " said

Liberman in his book Light: Medicine of the Future. Liberman has a PhD in vision

science. Here's what various researchers say about the effects of color.

Tests have shown that pink drains a male's strength and aggression. Researchers

have used a specific shade of pink, known as Baker pink, to calm violent

prisoners in jails. Apparently, a person cannot be angry or aggressive in the

presence of pink. The heart muscles can't race fast enough. It's a

tranquillizing color that saps your energy.

Red is an excellent color for use in a dining room or any area where you want

lively conversation. It also stimulates the appetite. Take note of this! The

problem with red is if you have any trouble with heart rate or blood pressure,

your heart rate will increase, your blood pressure will rise and your body

temperature will go up.\r\n

\r\nBlue has an opposite reaction to red. It is a calming color and a good color

for bedrooms. Blue is good for meditation, prayer and relaxing. Darker shades of

blue can make people feel depressed. Blue is the number one favorite color

around the world. The color blue had been painted in one room of a casino with

negative results. The problem is that blue relaxes the body and makes a person

introspective. Winners were not getting excited like they should. The casino

corrected this by changing the color of the walls to rich reds and golds, both

colors which excite, stimulate and enhance mood. They were delighted with the

results.

reliability, wisdom and prudence. It is worn for a slimmer appearance, at formal

occasions and priests wear black to communicate submission to God.

white to signify sterility. Brides wear white in western societies to indicate

innocence.

\r\nGreen is a calming color. It is used in hospitals to relax patients and it

is the easiest color on the eye. Other places where green can be seen are

schools and television studios (green room). Olive green is the color of peace,

emerald green-immortality and dark green-conservative, masculine, cool and

implies wealth ($$$).

\r\nBright yellow causes eyes to become fatigued. It can enhance concentration,

but is hurtful to the eye. Yellow in small amounts produces sensations of warmth

and cheerfulness. It is also a spiritual color and an attention-getter. A dreary

shade of yellow denotes caution, sickness and jealousy.
