Joanne,

It took 1 month and 2 exrays, an ultrasound and 5 falls before they got the

correct diagnosis! This has been going on for the last month. I have a high

tolerance for pain - like we all do - so until it got so bad that I could

not put any weight on it did I start really getting aggressive with the Drs. I

just got my cast Friday and the Ortho said he was going to cast it whether

it was broken or not just to get it to start healing. I hope you have better

luck with this than I did, but the cast really helps - even though it has

some difficult moments.

Please take care and ask lots of questions, take someone with you if you

feel you are being " not listened to " .

Hi

Thanks so much for the information. I am so sorry that you have had a stress

fracture and you are right...they don't believe you!I sure hope you have

recovered..

This happened 2 weeks ago..nothing specific. I just got up one morning and I

couldn't stand on it and it was twice the size. In 14 days I have had only a

routine xray that showed nothing but I know there is something wrong..it burns

under the ankle bone too like nerves are involved. My poor right leg also has a

Bakers cysts behind the knee (very painful) and a ruptured posterior tibial

tendon...the joys of RA..now this. The left foot is fused
