Guest guest
Carole - I would like to know where you buy one? and do you make some kind of solution to put in it? just plain salt? Your details for the nebulizer solutions are helpful. Guest guest
Hello All, I just received the go ahead from my pulmonary specialist for trying the Salt Pipe. He had not heard of it before and was interested in knowing more. I am going to order soon and will begin to use it. The doc also asked for me to give him updates on if it helps. I am interested, as others are in the group, of how this has been working for those that have started to use it. in Idaho
Guest guest
I used my saltpipe recently on an interstate drive across the West where the deisel trucks were thick. For the first time on a trip of this nature I did not get an infection in my lungs. I just puffed away on it whenever we were in the midst of the trucks. Cheers and Rainbows, Lee M. Guest guest
I've been using it for about three months now and really love it! Perhaps it does have a placebo effect but I think not. It is comforting breathing in salty air which can only be good for your lungs, like being at the seaside! It seems to help me loosen up the mucus but everyone is different. My pulmonologist thought I was actually smoking something, stupid guy! Janet in California > > Hello All, > > I just received the go ahead from my pulmonary specialist for trying the > Salt Pipe. Guest guest
Janet, This is exactly what I wanted to hear. I am looking forward to getting the pipe and trying it myself. If it is helping with the phlegm loosening up to get out, that is what I want. I know it appears that one has to inhale…..so your doc’s comments make me lol. in Idaho From: bronchiectasis [mailto:bronchiectasis ] On Behalf Of Janet Duhe Sent: Monday, December 11, 2006 3:09 PM To: bronchiectasis Subject: Re: Salt Pipe I've been using it for about three months now and really love it! Guest guest
I'm interested in how it benefits you as well, . Just cause someone on a list says it's good for you and works, doesn't mean you run right out and get it. That isnt a jab on anyone on this list, nor on you . I'm just generally speaking. I've been curious about the salt pipe, myself, so let me know if it works for you..ok? Thanks.. Guest guest
Another thing that's good for cutting that tacky thick phlem is lemons. I add real lemon juice to my ice water .. Guest guest
The caution with adding lemon juice is the acid is bad for reflux.Marsha/NYC This is true Marsha..but it's not that much..just a squeeze or two in a whole glass of water..you're not drinking lemonade.. Guest guest
Sandie and others, Absolutely Sandie…..I agree. I had my specialist look over the web information and some of the testimonials before I make the decision to purchase. Since it probably is not FDA approved, etc. I wanted to be comfortable with “side effects” or causing any further problems with my respiratory tract. He is very interested in my progress and I will let you all know if it is helpful. From: bronchiectasis [mailto:bronchiectasis ] On Behalf Of Sunniesback55@...
