Pulmozyme also known as DNase is an excellent med used by many in the cystic fibrosis community. It does not cause heart attacks. It can however be associated with hemoptysis (lung bleeds). Pulmozyme gave me back my life and lead to fewer hospitalisations. Its helped thin the thick mucous obstructing my airways when nothing else would. I would not encourage anyone particularly children to inhale tea tree oil. Inhaling oil based products can be associated with lipoid pnuemonias that are very difficult to treat. Pulmozyme is in my opinion (as a patient) far less likley to be hearmful. Furthermore, large scale studies of tea tree oil have never taken place. Granted, one company wants to study tea tree oil, but does not have the money, but studies are always needed and helpful. Pulmozyme has undergone rigorous studies. The biggest harm in being placed on Pulmozyme is to one's expenses, because it is a very expensive med, but for some of us this med has
