Guest guest
Yes Bobby, I had a Baker's cyst last August which caused me a great deal of pain and actually was taken care of before my diagnosis of RA although I had it at the time they just could not figure out what was wrong with me. The surgery was definitely worth it. They don't actually drain the cyst usually. They fix the problem with your knee which makes the cyst go away, which was the case for me and it feels so much better. My knee used to give way, and be sooo painful and I could actually feel the cyst behind my knee with my hand and when I bent it. It was a simple day surgery and I was on the walker (I hate crutches) for about a week or two. Did my PT and did quite well other than the RA. My knee never gives way anymore. Hope this helps.
