Guest guest
Beth, Thank you so much. I will tell him. He has been an angel sent from God to us! If it had not been for you, we never would have found him. I hope someone else in the group gives him a shot or at least checks out his website. He is a wonderful person and has been through a lot personally. Thanks again. Good luck with your business. Tracie > > In a message dated 4/19/2005 5:50:43 A.M. Guest guest
Thanks for the advice Lise, would of never thought of that, maybe we will rent a bunch of movies and bring that DVD player, thanks again. Tracie in ALedo, Texas 240/150 to tracie If you have an x-box or DVD player you can take with you, it will pass the time much quicker for your husband. I am so glad we took ours. The hospital only has a few channels so the movies helped a bunch. lisa
Guest guest
I forgot about all of the snow there. I am sure Florida would be a welcomed change for you. I have thought of Arizona and Nevada. I am trying to leave the South. The humidity is not nice to people with RA. I don't know about OA. Someone will have to answer about that. However, I flared while in Nevada once so I don't think the flares go away. But then I have been told by doctors, I have a high lupus count but no lupus diagnosis, so maybe hot, hot weather isn't good for me either. Who knows. LoL Right. My accent changes with the wind depending on where I live. We have been here for 7 years off and on, but I try to hold on to at least pronouncing the last syllable of my words. I notice Atlantans leave off the last syllable to every word and since I love words, I don't want to get in the habit of changing the words. I like them just the way they are. American blacks say things very similar to the old south regardless of where they live like " finna " for " fixing to " or " gone " for " going to " , etc. so you might hear that in my writing or a little of both. Also, the husband is Puerto Rican from New York with the New York accent and a mixture of spanglish like towel paper for paper towels and I say things like that. It is a miracle I can communicate at all, right? Or maybe it is a gift in disguise. LOL Take care. love/peace, Ebony

Guest guest
Thanks Marilyn, it is always nice to hear that you inspired people to get the band. I am not sure how long I need to stay on mushies, Nina said to give it a couple of weeks, but since I have to pay 250.00 each time I go and see the fill doc, I will probably wait at least a month, to make sure I have given my band enough time to fall back into place. I feel great and the best thing is I have not gained any weight this last week, I still can't eat very much at one time, like I thought I would be able to unless it is mushies, mash potaotes and ice cream go through just fine, any solids I still can't eat very much so I am just sticking to mushies. It has only been a week, so we'll see like I said at least now I can get a good night's sleep something I had been missing for the past month. take care and thanks for thinking of me. Tracie K. Guest guest
HI Tracie, I have been following your posts here in the background. I was just wandering, What now?? I know you were going back on mushies and liquids, but for how long? How long did you get checked out. Or do you just learn to live with where its at? Stay Strong. I know It was you and the other that really brought me to my decision to have the band. SO good luck, what an excellent xmas present to yourself, you will have no regrets. I don't think that the message was conveyed correctly about the slipage. It scared me as well because I'm going against my family and friends and I'm doing what I feel is needed to live. I appreciate all of you'll that have tried to clarify what was meant. Vinson
Guest guest
Can someone share some examples of mushies they eat. I am still on mushies and finding it hard to find things that work. I lost 17lbs so far but it seems as though I haven't lost a pound this whole week. Tomorrow will be the 3 week anniversary of my band so maybe I am eating the wrong things?tkbartek@... wrote: Thanks Marilyn, it is always nice to hear that you inspired people to get the band.
