Guest guest
Hi Lori, My sister is on Highland Ave. Right now I not able to travel due to my knee condition, but when I can, I will be sure to contact you. I used to live in Lyons and my husband used to live in Brookfield.. Small world, huh????? I am one of the " older " members who is fighting some fierce medical problems, so here lately I have not been able to post as much as I used to or want to. So please forgive if you don't see me for awhile. I have been in the hospital on an average of every 2 weeks. My sister is flying down for my daughter's wedding on 7-9-05, her daughter is one of the bridesmaids. She will be staying here in my house, my husband's brother is driving down from Aurora for the wedding also, his son is one of the groomsmen. So, lots of things (most of them all good) are ahead of me and all of my doctors are working with me to get me thru this event. After the wedding I will be facing some surgical procedures and other things. But, I try not to think of that and just concentrate on the wedding. I have been amazed at how much I have been able to do from my hospital bed at home and my dear computer. Take care and I am glad to meet a new friend! Gentle, tender, angel hugs, Debs in FL

Guest guest
Dear Beth, What a wonderful idea! We have a prayer chain at our church--when someone is ill, having surgery, or there is a special need, the first person on the list is contacted, and we each contact the next person on the list, be it by phone or email. When people in this group have requested prayers, I put their first name only on our prayer chain, and remove it only when we hear that thngs have improved. And for the person who asked, I live in Connersville, Indiana, 50 miles from anywhere! Judi >

Guest guest
Intercessory prayer is one of the closest things to my heart, and I believe in it with everything in me. I have a friend whose daughter had a brain tumor show up on a scan- MRI maybe- last month? So a week later they went to a specialist who did another scan, and it was gone. They did further scans and tests to confirm that finding, and the tumor was gone. Then we had a boy in our church who was found in the bottom of his swimming pool, on June 11th. His dad did CPR until careflite got there. He was in a coma for three days, and the doctors feared the worst for him. We had people all over praying for him, and he was in church yesterday! So I am DEFINITELY on board for any ideas you may have. I figure that there's not a lot I can do physically for people but I sure can pray for them, right?
