: Dear Friends:

:

: THIS EMAIL IS A CALL TO ACTION FOR TEXAS RESIDENTS ONLY. OTHERS, HOWEVER,

: MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN SEEING WHAT'S HAPPENING.

:

: As you know, this week I sent you an email with a link to the Texas Dept.

of

: Insurance's public hearings site.

:

:

: Scroll down to the July 24th hearing date and read the language that says

: State Farm (and its subsidiaries) have petitioned the Insurance

Commissioner

: to adopt language changes to homeowners, renters and condo owners policies

in

: Texas.

:

: In my email to you, I said that I would check this out as an insider from

: State Farm told me that this petition was nothing more than a veiled

attempt

: to exclude mold. Well, I called a number of sources, including the Office

of Public Insurance

: Counsel (a State of Texas Office).

:

: It is confirmed. This meeting IS A VEILED ATTEMPT TO EXCLUDE MOLD AND

SEVERAL

: OTHER ITEMS.

:

: For our Texas residents, we must AGAIN make a STRONG showing of support

NOT

: TO EXCLUDE MOLD AS A COVERED ITEM UNDER THE CURRENT

HOMEOWNERS/RENTERS/CONDO

: OWNERS POLICIES SOLD IN THE STATE OF TEXAS.

:

: Action: Rally the troops. We need to be there: July 24, 2001. Texas Dept.

of

: Insurance, Hobby Bldg., 333 Guadalupe, Hearing Room 100, 9:30 am. Those

who

: want to speak must sign up early to do so. And, you will probably be

allowed

: only three minutes to speak so keep it short.
