My cell phone ringer is set to that old Animals song, " We gotta get outta this place! " I thought it was cute and fun to have it set to that till one Sunday at church when I forgot to turn the ringer off. You can imagine the mayhem that ensued when " We gotta get outta this place " started up in the middle of the sermon. :-) It was so funny! Thankfully, I am good friends with our preacher and he never missed a beat when he re-composed himself and said, " You know there's always one in every crowd and you're the one, Beth ... you're the one. " I politely thanked him (as it was meant in a nice way) and on we went, but somehow the wind was just gone from that sermon. Guest guest Posted March 13, 2006 Report Share Posted March 13, 2006 Hi Ken, Sorry you are having such a rough time of it right now. Dealing with pain, fatigue and limitations is sooooooooo hard. I am also sorry to hear that your doctors are not able to help and that the medications are causing problems. I have been on enbrel for about 6 weeks now and am having success with it. 80 mg of mtx is a lot and I'm sure its contributing to your fatigue also. At 20 mgs I was a zombie and could hardly move I was so tired all week long. I'm not sure where you live but doesyour town not have any public vans or transportation available. In our state (Tennessee) most counties have transportation available for those who need it. Also you mentioned desiring to go to church. Have you tried calling some to see if they can provide transportation to services for you? I know we try to make arrangements for anyone who wants to attend. Sometimes it is just a matter of connecting with the right person to get things done.
