Dear ,

My post MRI, after detether, show a leak in some scare tissue. My NS was not

sure if he could do anything about it, due to the location. He said we might

try something if it caused me trouble. So far it does not seem to be causing

problems. About six months ago I noticed a small bump. When I showed my wife

she said there also was a larger bump of swelling. I do not know when this

all started. I just know when I discovered it. Both have now gone away.

I have always gotten headaches, associated with putting pressure, on the

area of my SB, after my surgery, I seem to be more sensitive to getting the

headaches. I don’t know really know the medical reason for the leaks, but I

have some thoughts. You might have had a small leak since your surgery, that

started leaking more due to the weakness. You might have a weak point where

you healed from the surgery, that finally opened. Scar tissue developing

around surgical area might open weak points. As I thought of the scar

tissue, this seems like a real possibility.

My hope for myself, you, and others that develop a leak that it is not fast

enough to cause the severe headaches. When I have had the really bad ones,

my normal pain medications don’t do anything.

Hope all this goes away with time,

Woody

Hi Woody - Thank You for the info. I also got headaches before but never as

many as I am getting now! I think sometimes that I would have rather waiting

and dealt with the pain and whatever else came from it. If you have noticed I

don't have much in the patience department! lol I have 2 daughters and my

husband and I have our own electical company that we run out of our basement.

So, he has had to bring the office upstairs and everything is all cluttered!

It's just very frustrating!!
