The threat of men with prostate cancer being denied a life-prolonging treatment available to women with breast cancer was lifted yesterday.The National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (Nice) said it was making a provisional recommendation that the chemotherapy drug Taxotere (docetaxel) should be available via the NHS to men with prostate cancer in England and Wales.
