Guest guest
Oh my God! I want to just scream from the shock! How could this happen and why on earth were they so eager to pull the plug?!! Thank God for your daughter being persistent. Thank you for being honest with me about your experiences. You know sometimes we try to sugar coat things which does NOT do anyone any good. Your experiences teach the rest of us what to look out for and it also lets me know things can always be worse than what I have experience so far!! I am so shocked after reading your message until I cannot find the words to say to you what I want. I wish the best for you from here on out. . I am so sorry about all of the things that happened to you. We have no choice but to trust the doctors and the meds and yet we take the risk of something like this happening. You are definitely meant to be here and survive this. You proved that much. It sounds like you are very sensitive to the meds as I am and that the meds are causing major complications for you. The mtx made it very difficult for me to breath and when I told my rheumatolgist she didn't seem to bother with it and I didn't know about the nodules Mtx can cause on the lungs and apparently so much more. Guest guest
Terry, This is horrifying. It's bad enough to have suffered such serious problems, but to be used that way is incomprehensible. Guest guest
All my life, I've heard, " If ignorance is bliss, then I'm a BIG blister " . That has to be true this time. I was hospitalized for Metho-induced Pneumonia, but only stayed 4 days. The only thing I suffered was the high fever. I never coughed or anything to indicate a lung disorder, and felt relatively great the next norning. I had no idea it could have been that serious! In retrospect, it could have been worse if I had waited for a few hours more before hitting the ER. My temp was already high enough to make my brain start to shut down. I remember playing a video game on my gown at one point that night. Next day, I was feeling really good. I guess it was a good thing my experience wasn't as bad as yours, Terry. Now I get nervous thinking about your terrible experience. I'm glad your daughter wouldn't give up! That's the only thing that saved your life, certainly not the doctoring you got/didn't get. Sounds like lawyer time. We don't want that type of treatment to continue.
