Dear Joanne,

I have a stress fracture on my Tibia and it is extremely painful, so I

understand what you are saying. Really bad when it seems like no one believes

you? But, I was told by my internist that the next step for me was a bone

scan,

(if nothing showed up) and that also shows if you have osteomyeleitis (an

infection in the bone) or a fracture. I had an avulsion fracture in my foot,

and the ortho said lots of dr's overlook those or call them baby fractures-

but my foot was twice as swollen as normal and I had a walking cast for a

month. Sure wish you good thoughts, and try to stay off your foot. Learn the

one-foot shuffle to get where you can't take a chair or walker. We have taken

up all the throw rugs in the house and moved all un-necessary furniture to the

garage. What an exercise program we are on ! :) Please take Care.

Gentle Hugs & prayers,

Carol M. in CA
