Guest guest
Hi Tracie, I started Humira last month with 1/2 injection. I did get a very bad sore throat and sinus congestion which turned out to be thrush (a side effect of Humira) I developed ulcers on my tongue and throat OUCH and had to use Nyastatin as it is a yeast infection. AND THAT WAS ONLY A HALF OF A DOSE. I go tomorrow for the second dose. Two years ago I had one injection of Humira and ended up in the hospital one week after for a severe sinus infection, so that is why I am getting a half of the normal dose and taking Bactrim 3x a week to hopefully prevent a bad sinus infection again. Stay well... hope this helps Joanne

Guest guest
Wow Joanne, Thanks for responding. I am not sure if I am more frightened or not, but the more knowledge about something the better I feel. Well,I still have not had my second injection of Humira. I am still recovering from my bronchitis which let me tell you really knocked me out. I was no good for nothing around here, sleeping all the time, could not hardly lift a finger to do anything at all. Ridiculous. It was like being back at square one. I am allergic to sulfa so the Bactrim is out for me. I did not know about the thrush side effect at all, hmmm. Well, thanks again for responding and good luck on your quest with the Humira and let me know how it turns out. I will do the same. Sometimes I just want to throw in the towel you know?
