*1.* *All Wheels for Fibromyalgia Finishes First*: Despite run-ins with

wildlife, a series of equipment mishaps, and stretches of pouring rain and

40-mile-an-hour headwinds, All Wheels for Fibromyalgia came in first place

last month in the annual 3,000-mile Race Across America event. *Click

*4.* *18-Year-Old Opens Doors for FM*: Kinzey of New York,

profiled in November 2007 in the NFA’s Member Spotlight section, continues

her efforts to spread awareness about fibromyalgia and to fund research.

Diagnosed with FM in 2005, Kinzey’s Facebook Causes page—Open Doors for

Fibromyalgia—has more than 22,000 members. *Click

*5.* *FM Awareness Day Bill Passes*: Jay Tulin and his teenage daughter

na were significantly involved in the recent passage of House Bill No.

6693, which designates certain days and months in Connecticut in an effort

to heighten public awareness of different causes. Among the days to be

recognized *each year* is Fibromyalgia Awareness Day, which is observed on

*7.* *Poll Shows Small Percentage of FM Patients Attend a Support Group*:

Have you attended an FM support group program in the last 12 months? The

responses are in to the NFA’s June online poll question. An overwhelming

majority—89%—of respondents said “no” and 11 percent said “yes.”
