angie you are in my thoughts and prayers also. i am getting frightened again

too. i went to my pcp wednesday. they say my cholestrol and triglycerides

are sky high. he wants me to start taking my blood pressure twice a week as he

is afraid i am developing hbp. he says i need an injection in my elbow and he

didn't think his needle was long enough, so he told me to call my rheumi.

they got me in the next day, but said overall inflammation so gave me 80 mgs

depro-medrol. if that doesn't work to come back and they will inject the joints.

when they took my bp it was 160/100! i have been having chest pains(more

like tightness) for a couple weeks now. getting dizzy spells (maybe panic

attacks?) but the dr is thinking it is that and costcondritis. that's what

they

came up with 3 yrs ago when i had this. 3 weeks from today i will be seeing

my favorite band. i've been planning this for so long. i don't want to be sick.

Hang in there! I will keep you in my prayers. I to had this but

in reverse. I had graves disease (thyroid) and now I just got

diagnosed with RA. What ever you do don't let them put you on

propathyaurasil (dont know if I spelled that right) to shrink your

goiter. I was on it for 6 weeks and gained 85 lbs in that time

period. There are alot of other things they can do besides trying to

shrink it with that drug. I just had the thyroid removed and am on

medication for the hormones and it worked out great. Never lost the

wieght however. Just a caution. Good luck.

wow, thanks for the tip!!. it is all new for me. i haven't even had time to

do any research. my rheumi's office told me they had a pamphlet for me, but

couldn't find one. i will definitely ask

Hi Kathy,

doc if it is ok for you to take OMEGA 3 fish oil capsules. I started taking

them and my cholesterol went down over 30 points from what it was just on

medication.

Kathy who used to be from Ill here, now Conn. You might consider asking your

doc if it is ok for you to take OMEGA 3 fish oil capsules. I started taking

them and my cholesterol went down over 30 points from what it was just on

medication.
