Guest guest
Peggy Those Harry Potter books are really good. I was very pleasantly surprised. The movies are also very good. I sure wish they would come back out with 3-D movies. I have never seen one and I know it would be something spectacular now that we have all this technology. Dawn For all those who will be up late tomorrow waiting for the next Harry Potter, I will be doing the same and Happy Reading! Guest guest
Her thoracic curve got up to 55 degrees in the brace after being in the brace for 3 years so it was obvious the brace was not helping. He only fused her thoracic curve from about T3-T12. He left her lumbar curve unfused which is still approximately 30 degrees. She is supposed to see the doctor in October so we will see how things are going then. He did not try to completely straighten her curve. He said if he did, it would cause her to be unbalanced with the lumbar curve at 30 degrees so I think he only straightened her to about 30 degrees on top. She still has the rib hump from rotation. She says it doesn't bother her but I think in the future it will when she realizes she is "deformed". Peggy Re: clothing (was Weather changes & pain)Hi, ! I too have the very short-waisted Erkel thing going on - couple inches between bra and waist, etc. And hard to twist for side zippers, so try to avoid them when I can. I haven't ever tried low-rise, but you all have inspired me to try! I do tuck things in sometimes, and "blouse" it out enough that it looks like my waist is lower . . . sometimes works, but un-tucked works better. Too bad I like the neat/tidy look of pants and blouse. I have an opposite effect from my teen bracing experience and chest size. My post-surgical brace went up the sides and between the breasts. And since I couldn't wear a bra in that thing, I developed from an A to a D with no support, so I never had the perky experience. I've had old lady boobs since I was 13. Kind of a bummer. Every once in a while people will mention a reduction or lift, and I just can't justify to myself a surgery like that after all I've been through and probably will go through with revision in my future. Maybe when I have revision surgery, I can ask for a lift too! :-)Deb M.
