Guest guest
Listmates, One of the people on my low oxalate list found this article with an association I haven't heard of before. If oxalates could lead to intestinal migraine, I don't know if a low oxalate diet might help other types of migraine, as there seems no research in that area in pubmed. I certainly have heard of migraine headaches being a big issue in adults with autism. I don't know how many symptoms like head-banging might arise from migraine headaches. Anyway, here is the article which I am ordering via interlibrary loan. S Afr Med J. 1974 Jan 19;48(3):89-92. The management with a low oxalate diet of abdominal migraine in children with a note on oxalate metabolism. Suckling PV. PMID: 4824120 [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE]
