I am so sorry for your sad loss. A rotten time of year to lose a loved one. He is in a better place now. My prayers are with you and your family during this time. Blessings. My dad fought long and hard and tried everything that the doctors would offer to try and have some quality of life. The doctors at NY Hospital were amazing and I recommend them to anyone who can go. Dr. Holly Vanni Colwell and Dr. Francisco Pacheco were his Pulmonary doctors and not only treated him as their patient but also like family. They took care of my dad so well and really tried their best to help him. Thank you all for your encouraging stories and advice. Hope you all had a great holiday and have a great New Year. Yeah, hope so as it is annoying for us also receiving so many notes from who wants off the list. Delete, Delete, Delete! Janet "Robbs, " wrote: Pat I think there is a function to be taken off this group’s e-mail list, since I know it can be overwhelming # of messages at times. From: bronchiectasis

Dear Lori

These are the mails I hate the utter most. On my Alpha1 lung list, we call our lost Alpha1 sisters and brothers " Alpha Angels ". Today, your dad is among the angels who have lost the war..but certainly not without the bravest fight.

I sent to you my deepest sympathy and condolences..along with a huge cyber teddy bear hug.

Today, your dad is no longer in pain nor suffering. Today I pray for you, his daughter, and your family, that you find a way to console each other..grieve..and somehow get through this very trying time.

Celebrate his life..
