Garrido/Doctor's referrals

It is me again, and I am sure I am driving everyone a little crazy.

The truth is I feel I am going crazy. As I mentioned in my e-mail

message yest. we are now living in Arizona and I needed some

recommendations on the Barrow Neo. Center located here in Phonix, also

recommendations about Dr. Harold Rekate.

I had only 2 responces that were very positive about Dr. Rekate and 1

very scary one. However, that recommend did not mention Dr. Rekate

personally, only the center.

My question is, does a parent travel to Chicago or New York to have Dr.

Frim take care of a childs ACM or how does one really decide on you or

what doctor will do this operation. And what about insurance? How

does one get their insurance to pay for a procudure out of their state.

I am going to explain what steps we are going to take and I would

appreciate anyone's advise regarding how a parent goes about this

decision in choosing the very best for your child.

1. We will send our childs films to Dr. Glenn on at Miami

Childrens in Miami Florida for his opionion. He was the surgeon who

operated on our son who was born with all the surtures closed in his

skull. We knew he was one of the very best surgeons for this

procedure. However, now we are presented with the ACM.

2. After his view of the films, should we also send them to this Dr.

Frim in Chicago.

You see I am very confussed about this whole procedure and choosing or

knowing who is the best. How does one take their whole family to

another state (like chicago).

Also, has anyone heard of Dr. Glenn on at Miami Children's

Hospital. Please let me know. Also, I am waiting to hear from more

people in regards to the knowledge about Dr. Harold Rekate in Phoenix,

Arizona?

I read something that was posted on this site about there being only 5

or 6 doctors who should be trusted to do this operation on their child.

Who are those doctors?

This site has been a great help. I have been able to get all my

questions together to ask our ner surgeon. Thanks again for all your

help and the concerened people who respond.
