Is that true? Thanks, Kathy No, B vitamins and amino acids should not be taken in isolation. I take B-100 three times a day plys B-6 100 mg and B1 (thiamine) and Niacin. Another good source of B complex and aminos is brewer's or nutritional yeast. mjh " The Basil Book " http://foxhillfarm.us/FireBasil/
Guest guest
LDN and Warfarin (Coumadin) My mom is on a host of drugs--including statins and Warfarin, a blood thinner. She has a number of conditions that would be benefitted from being on ldn: chronic lymphocytic leukemia (mild case), irritable bowel syndrome, and fairly bad osteoarthritis. Her stomach can no longer tolerate celebrex and she does much better in general without it though her legs suffer discomfort. When asked about using ldn, her physician who claimed to have heard of ldn-- he said he was familiar with its use with chemotherapy, he said it was not for those on blood thinner--I hadn't heard this before. I did check out my mom's meds with Skip's Pharmacy and they said nothing was contraindicated. Has anyone else heard anything about this? Unfortunately my mom who is 86 is very attached to her doc and is quite unlikely to distrust his opinions or go against it. I thought I would write to see if anyone else had heard of ldn being contraindicated with Warfarin. Thanks for all your help. Best regards, Lynn C. Guest guest
Unfortunately Lynn it would seem your mom's physician is the newest member of the " not as clever as he thinks he is " club!! Sounds like many ignoramuses preceding him he has confused naltrexone with novantrone - a nasty chemo drug.
