This is Jen in Fl and I am having a bit of a rough morning.

I woke up and I feel like my Sternum is going to crack. If I breath

deepor pull my shoulders back I fell like it is going to snap. The

other strange thing is that my heels are burning. They dont feel hot

to the touch just hot feeling on the inside. Still very new and

learning. I go to the RA Doc for the first time April 14 and 15. is

this a mini -flare? Told hubby and he felt it I got a massage it would

feel better. I didnt have the heart to tell him massages hurt me.

where as for most it feels good. I am going to try a hot shower and

tylenol in a few.

Hi, Jen. I am not sure about the sternum thing, but I have had similar pain

and it is attributed to GERD (acid reflux), which I understand is common

with RA. It is very painful. I take Prevacid.

As far as the feet go, my feet have hurt like that every day for the past 3

years. I would say you are having a flare. I am just coming off a

prednisone pack and for the first time ever, my feet feel " normal " .

I have a massage therapist who is very gentle and works really well with me.

Her specialty is people with chronic conditions and she massages many

doctors and nurses in the area (I am in the Atlanta area). Maybe you can call

around and find someone like that?

Rest and feel the best you can! Good luck at the rheumy!

Love and Prayers,

Beth
