" First, do no harm to others that practice medicine...THEN do no harm to your patients. " :-))))) That's why I do not feel malpractice suits regarding Chiari will " fly " -- too many ways to have interpreted MRI's -- too much " outdated " information out there...yada yada yada. Guest guest
From my experience, I am currently going through a malpractice case for my dad. As I have said before my dad passed away last October and we are filing a malpractice suit against the doctor and the hospital. In July of last year my dad had gone to a different doctor and he had stated that he did not see where my dad had needed his first surgery to begin with. After my dad had passed away I asked this doctor if he would be able to testify for us and he said that he could not, even though he felt there was an error he still couldn't do it. Something about some kind of oath, I'm not for sure. But you will never find a doctor ( at least through my experience) to testify against another doctor. When you get an attorney they will have one of their doctors look at your records and determine whether or not you have a case. I hope this made sense. It can get real irritating cause you know that they did wrong and there is really nothing you can do about it until you find someone that will understand and be on your side. Take Care and Good Luck!! If there is anything I can help with please let me know. Debbie M. At 10:14 AM 8/20/99 -0500, Judy Marie wrote: >At 12:46 AM -0700 8/20/99, M. Guest guest
Dear Everybody: Thought that I was going to " leave this one alone " . But will add my tiny two cents worth. When my neurologist took for stinking ever to diagnose ACM, I was really p***** at him. After the decompression, I told my nsg that he was the biggest smart*** I'd ever seen. My nsg said that this guy had " a very limited vision when it comes to certain things and he tends to treat everybody for depression " . So there it is.
