Guest guest
Hi Pat, I am also a victim of the knee wars-got mine replaced for real bad osteo-even before the RA started. The back pain you are having MAY be because you are walking " funny " trying to protect your painful knees-anything that changes our gait, screws up our back. If you ever need or want to talk knees don't hesitate to contact me privately Kathy Schark Hamden CT kschark@... -----

Guest guest
I can sympathize with your pain. I've had both knees replaced, and before they were done I was in severe pain. These repairs to your knee can be done arthroscopically, which is less invasive and has a faster recovery. It is usually done outpatient. Here is some info: http://www.orthoassociates.com/meniscus.htm I hope they can put your back together and you can be pain free. a On Apr 27, 2005, at 10:15 AM, bureau97504 wrote: > > Hi everyone: I have not posted in awhile tho I have been trying to > keep up with reading the emails everyday. Guest guest
Pat, I am so very sorry to hear about all the problems you are having with your knees. Hopefully, you will be feeling better after your surgery. When our knees hurt, the rest of our legs can bother us as well, at least mine do. :-) I have moderate to severe OA in both knees and will be going to the rheumy soon for my other problems, so I am going to ask him then what can be done. I do have the Lidoderm Patches, and they seem to help. In fact, there was a recent article about these patches helping OA in the knees. My PCP gave me these patches before the study came out. How cool is that? :-) Hang in there, Pat, and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
