Guest guest
Hi All. I took my first injected dose of MTX on Tuesday evening, and woke up all swollen (joints, hands, legs, shoulders and arms). I haven't been able to get out of bed or on and off the toilet by myself for 2 days now. I am having to gently 2 finger type this post things are so bad. Pain meds aren't even touching the pain and it seems to be getting progressively worse. Because I was having malabsorbtion issues with the tablet MTX, and now am injecting it (getting the full effects of it), is this a normal side effect? My boyfriend thinks I should call my Rheumy or go to the hospital. He's concerned because I need constant care and can't take care of myself. I will just ride this out if it's supposed to happen Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Guest guest
, Please call your Rheumy asap in the morning-any time your situation changes drastically for whatever reason, they should be notified. This sounds like a drastic change. In fact, quite probably the office has an answering service-so you could call now and ask if you should be concerned, what you can expect, is this something that needs immediate attention and so forth Kathy inCt
Guest guest
, make that call to your rheumy now, as in YESTERDAY!! You shouldn't be doing that. I started the injectable MTX last week and didn't have that effect. In fact, my RA symptoms improved and the side effects of the MTX decreased. That doesn't sound right. Call your rheumy, girl!!,,,,,,Marina

Guest guest
We didn't use the collar because w/ her band I felt like it was just too much stuff to deal with - but I think others have use both. We are still doing PT but it has improved alot - I barely notice it anymore. Guest guest
Hi, A TOT collar and a band can't be worn at the same time. A TOT collar could be worn during the hour off time. It may differ from product to product but I know w/the DOCband you can't wear it and a TOT collar at the same time. :-) > > We didn't use the collar because w/ her band I felt like it was just too much stuff to deal with - but I think others have use both. > We are still doing PT but it has improved alot - I barely notice it anymore. > Jen and Luli (16mo) > Left Tort - Right Plagio - Hanger Band Grad - CA > tallulah jayne > http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/j/jens5th/ > > > RE: Should I be concerned? > > > HI - have many of you had success with tort with pt alone - or is the collar and pt the best?? > > > > _____________________________________________________________________ ___ > AOL now offers free email to everyone. Guest guest
Sofia had zero range of motion on one side, and now, through PT alone, she has full range and strength equally on both sides. Her motor skills are on track, if not advanced due to all the PT, and although she needs a massage now and then, she is pretty much perfect in the tort area. She started at three months and has just turned six months now. She didn't use a helmet. > > > > We didn't use the collar because w/ her band I felt like it was > just too much stuff to deal with - but I think others have use both. > > We are still doing PT but it has improved alot - I barely notice > it anymore. > > Jen and Luli (16mo) > > Left Tort - Right Plagio - Hanger Band Grad - CA > > tallulah jayne > > http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/j/jens5th/ > > > > > > RE: Should I be concerned? > > > > > > HI - have many of you had success with tort with pt alone - or is > the collar and pt the best?? > > > > > > > > > _____________________________________________________________________ > ___ > > AOL now offers free email to everyone.
