Guest guest Posted April 28, 2005 Report Share Posted April 28, 2005 I attended a conference about RA last evening, and the rheumatologist made this statement that pertains to any kind of arthritis/joint health of the knees and ankles.............. with every step that we take, 3 times our body weight impacts the knees......and our poor ankles bear 7 times our body weight.....with every single step!!! He said that if you lose just 10 pounds it can make a huge difference to your knee and ankle joints.
