Guest guest
pinto beans are high in carbs so are not good for a diabetic. I am not certain what the doc says the tramendous benefit is but lets face it, how good would it really be? I think most folks abuse their bodies and think that they can take lame advice like eat beans and herbs to help cholesterol and blood pressure and you will be fine while all along the person is weighing in at 390 pounds and eating Mc's each day. See my point? Natural stuff might work but most folks don't use it within the guidelines that it is meant to work. Guest guest
Hi all, Pinto beans are good for you - if you are not Diabetic. The enzymes Pintos contain are very good for the digestive system and will help regulate your stool. I have read several studies on this. Speaking of folks and " Natural " foods, anyone remember Well Gibbons? He proclaimed the wonders of Grape Nuts. He also died of a heart attack. Cy, the Ancient One... Guest guest
Cy, Oh yes I remember Ewell Gibbons. I used to make up parody radio commercials for my show using a character called " Yule Give-Up " and every day " he " would extol the virtues of some really boring foods. He supposedly lived such a healthy life and then died of a heart attack. You see, I told you grape nuts were killers. Hahaha. My wife did mention that she remembered that she heard pinto beans were touted to help controll blood pressure. That's all well and good but like we've been saying, it's not a help for diabetics darn it. Bill Powers
