Have you thought about seeing a foot specialist? I saw a podiatrist for foot

pain. My symptoms started just as you described yours. I had planer

fascitis. Its not RA. It was treated with orthotics for my shoes, PT, special

exercises which I did at home, no bare foot walking and hot/cold therapy to my

feet. It finally went away.

If you have no foot specialist in your area maybe a orthopedic doc might be

able to help you. I have been in Enbrel and its serious medicine not to

mention very expensive. I would be hesitate to take it too if I did not have a

definite diagnosis.

I took Enbrel for about 9 months and it worked well to begin with...then as

usual it stopped working and Methotrexate injections were added. I finally

stopped them all on my own because of side effects I was experiencing. I took

two Enbrel injections a week and one Methotrexate injection a week. Now

enbrel has a pre-mixed once weekly injection or you can chose the older version

that you have to mix, draw up and inject.

Subject: new to RA

i'm 31....... i've been having pain in both my feet for the past one

year.... It really started as nothing; very little pain in my feet when

I first get up and it used to last for a minute or so. Now, I get real

bad pain in the morning when I first put my feet on the floor out of

bed that gets a little better in 10 to 15 mins , but i keep having pain

on and off all day long.I do not have ANY joint swelling or redness. my

lab tests all came back negative; One rheumathologist told me that

I " MIGHT " have RA and wanted to place me on Enbrel; Another one said he

is not sure what I might have, it could be RA, but he did not want me

to be on enbrel because I do not have any joint swelling and no

evidence of synovitis. I'm not sure what to do ; but one thing for

sure: I'm real scared as to what is awaiting me.

Anyone who had experience with Enbrel?

thanx a million.
