It seems I get my eyes cleared up and I turn around and the eyes are swollen again. However my doctor does treat me for an infection. My problem is, my PCP says to see my RA doctor about my eyes, my RA doctor says see my ophthalmologist. I wind up going to our local GP and he gives me an antibiotic and eye drops and that clears them up for a while. The symptoms sound like Cindi's. Although the whites of my eyes do not turn red, the fluid in my eyes are very " gooey " . The lids burn almost like a chemical burn and wind up actually peeling like a sunburn. I am not happy that anyone else has this problem but am happy to know that these infections are probably because of RA or the medicine that I take for RA. Hope your eyes clear up soon Charlotte.
