Guest guest
Today I am sharing some things that make me smile. The still just before sunrise, a baby's laugh, running through a water sprinkler, the first roses of spring, warm chocolate chip cookies, the smell of line-dried sheets, a call from an old friend, knock-knock jokes, red nail polish, flip-flops, watching the wind roll across fields of grass like the hand of God, (and I guess it is!) little league baseball, rocking my grandbabies, rocking Chas (she still fits my lap. sort of.) Sweet tea, corny dogs with LOTS of mustard, watching little kids dance- goofy and sweet at the same time. How good your bed feels after a long hard day. Vanilla candles, bubble baths, pachelbel's kanon, brudda iz' somewhere over the rainbow, rainbows, sunsets, the miracle of how we are put together, how snow looks before anyone walks on it (except birds, little bird feetprints in snow are cute.) Watching an elderly person sing " great is thy faithfulness. " they've lived it. Just about the whole book of Psalms makes me smile. my favorite holey jeans, my toe ring collection, my St. Francis cross, those PBS specials about buildings shaped like things (you know- ducks, hot dogs, shoes, etc.) Faulkner, brennan manning's books, pat conroy, chuck taylors, anything by bob wills or j.s. bach, and those rare, miraculous days when you wake up and hardly anything at all hurts. until you stand up....)And last but not least, getting time to chek in on the beloved brothers and sisters of the RA group. You have blessed my life more than you will ever know. Love Jane
Guest guest
Thank you, Jane, for what you have written. I have had a lousy day....up until the time I read your post! Thank you, for reminding me what is important and what is not! The day started out good, turned out bad, now it's good again. I truly love you. squarehead ken , JANE <janeatregis@...> wrote: Today I am sharing some things that make me smile.
