Latisha, it doesn't sound like a good idea to me, but maybe you could talk

to a physician who specializes in infectious disease and travel medicine

about it?

Here's a good site that lists travel health information for Ecuador (and it

lists travel health clinics):

http://www.mdtravelhealth.com/destinations/samerica/ecuador.html

Since there are live vaccines involved, I'm wondering if your husband has

received all of these immunizations already? Is he a risk to you since you

are on MTX now?

Not an MD

I'll tell you where to go!

My PCP won't even let me take a pneumonia vaccine while I'm on Prednisone.

My husband has not received his yet but he will soon and I did not even think of

him getting sick from the immunizations or being contagious to me or our kids.I

have considered after he returns home possibly being sick but not from the

actual immunizations. I will talk to a doctor about it like you said a

specialist. Thanks Latisha
