Guest guest
Just a snippet here, that ginger,( from the root) and garlic, and oregano, along with the several other things will also create barriers to pathogens in the lungs and other places that harvest infection. Used in teas, or sprinled over vegies being baked, roasted, etc, or added at the end in sauces etc. Just a great not invasive way to get natural ab,s.( I bake, boil, steam a nob of garlic, a small piece of ginder and a few leaves of oregano , every dinner time.) even when I go to my conferences, I take the stuff, and ask the chef to either microwave or bake while he has food in. They know, its medicinal value. Of course its good to start things while you are reasonably well so can build up a consistant regime, and build up the immune system. Not much good waiting till things are critical, because by then you need quick acting horrible meds, that do have side effects and cause ongoing problems later. Prevention is a better way of tackling things and the fact that you get into good regimes as a part of your every day life. I,m off to my group, good to see people wanting to move away from the hard stuff, but sensible too, Doctors must use the hard stuff, when you let things get out of control, and put you in danger. You are responsible for your own well being. Cheers for now. Sandy _________________________________________________________________ Send 1c txt to other Telstra Pre-Paid Plus mobiles. Guest guest
Hi , While I can't speak for everyone - I do know that you would represent a very, very under-represented minority - those that receive the good news that a loved one/yourself, does not have a tethered cord. You know what it's like to go through the fears and understanding and how difficult it is to gain knowledge on this subject - the anticipation - do they/I have this? If I/they do, what will I do? You have the experience of finding out that not all " possible tethered cords " turn out to be the diagnosis that someone will hear. (Hope this makes sense - I'm very tired, but wanted to reply in case you had decided to unsub quicker than members could respond.) You would be able to empathize with parents, hold their " web " hand while they go through the process that you just completed - but most importantly you hold what we don't have - an experience that turned out to be okay - no neural tube defect. You are proof that not all warranted " rule out's " turn out to be the worst scenario given. There are people out there that hear good news. I truly hope you stay - even if you just occasionally peruse message headers/messages to see if someone on our group could use your experience to gain further hope - to know that someone out there heard good news. I'm a bit twisted at times - I tend to see the good side before the bad - or at times not see the bad. I always try to see what good can I do with this or what good can someone do with their situation (although close to this theory - I don't hold that we're given things for a reason - just that you can find positive in negatives.) With your situation, you found us ... you could be the hope for someone who is looking for it...my mom was recently diagnosed with terminal, inoperable, incurable lung cancer (you'd think one of those would be enough.) She's 73, lived her life as she chose, and she was so angry with me, once the dust of the diagnosis settled and I said, " If I were given the choice of knowing I was going to die in a year - that my time was at an end in one year - less or more - I would be so grateful for that knowledge. I would much rather know than " wish " I had said good-bye or I love you to someone I should have. " I would want that opportunity to say things to people that I knew I should have said, but didn't for whatever reason. I think it's a gift - well, at least when someone is older, to have that knowledge - I know we should all live and say things as we feel them - leave nothing good unsaid, but we all do leave things unsaid. No one lives forever and no one, no one wants to die ... but to have the gift of time - to know, at least to me w/my philosophy, would be the greatest gift of all. Without that knowledge, my mom could have spent this last year not saying what she should, not doing what she's always wanted to do because she thought she had more time, etc. I know there are horrors with this diagnosis, the time ticking would be terrible to deal with, and knowing that death is around the corner - I can't imagine the wondering of what it will be like - but there is so much positive too. Anyway - she wasn't impressed with my attitude to say the least. But, I do believe there " can " be good in almost all situations if you just look. I always feel like I have to say a disclaimer - no, I would never want cancer, no I would not wish death on my worst enemy, etc. But, there really can be good in certain situations where we didn't think there was. Hope you stay and can find some spare time to offer hope.. Kathy co-owner/co-moderator tsc list To all Hey guys! Now that I know Katrina is not tethered etc..
