OMG! Did That Hurt!

Well I had my first visit with the RA DOc. I really liked him. He

encouraged questions and spent and hour and a half with me. I have

week RA which he said was the begining stages. He also feels that I

have the (SHow grens Syndrome)don't know how else to spell uit guys

sorry. He also sent me for more blood tests. He said he doesnt want

to rule out Lupus for me yet. He said something came up abnormal so

he wanted to test me for that. I also had a Nerve Conduction test.

OMG! Did that hurt! I will never complain about my wrists again. I

have muscle spamsum since Friday night and cramps. Well that test

came back positive for Carpol Tunnel. I will have to wear these real

attractive braces on my hands at night. Hubby's really gonna love

that. LOL! THey have also sugjested shots in the wrists. Well I know

nothing about that so any advise on that would be greatly like. If

the shots are anything like the test........I think I will pass.

Things really hit hard Friday after the test. Spent most of the day

crying. Everything came to a head when I was told to loose 30

pounds. Well that isnt easy when you dont feel well. I have never

been told to loose weight so it hit me like a rock. I have only

recently gained weight in the last year or so. I have been very

supported by my family which has made recovering over the week end

much easier and faster. I was put on some meds and when we picked

them up from the Pharmacy we couldnt believe the price even with

insurance! Well I figure if I loose 30 pounds I wont need blood

preassure meds and will only have to be on the meds for swelling and

something to help me sleep at night. I dont have to go back to the

RA doc for another 4 weeks. THe other Doc who did the nerve

conduction is sending me for a Diabietes test. Why? I have no clue

but I will do it and he is also scheduling me for the shots for this

week where I will also recieve the braces. THis certainly had been a

whirl wind of events. Just updating you all. Thanks so much for you
