Guest guest
I just got off the phone with my hospital's pharmacy, and they don't have any Methotrexate but don't do any business with manufacturers that have it. There's only one pharmacy in this whole area that has any of it and they want $32 for a 4cc vial. I was paying $18 for 4 vials that size, without preservative. I can't afford that price but it looks like I don't really have a choice. Any thoughts or ideas? I called my rheumy's nurse after finding out that there's no more Mtx and was trying to find out what to do next, and what other med they would approve for me. It seems that the hospital is pushing Remicade only as the free med for me. I never did get an answer, and really didn't get the chance to ask because I haven't had a blood test yet, so I don't get anything at all! They are the ones that schedule tests, but it was all my fault. I wish I had another choice but I don't. I'm also worse off since my past rheumy moved to the private sector and this one took me off anti-inflammatories.
