I needed it. I had another fall, hit my head on the nightstand, nice

blue bruise, cut my arm open and broke two toes. How did I do it,

June, I heard on TV that Liza Minelli recently fell out of her bed,

too. But I believe she was drunk at the time, LOL. Hope all of your

injuries soon heal. Sue

Oh June!

I'll bet you weren't laughing after your fall! Ouch, and there's

nothing to be done for toes except wait for them to heal. I fell out

of bed one night last week, trying to turn off the control for the

Restwarmer. Fortunately, nothing hard near my side of the bed, and my

pride was the only thing injured.

Take care,

Judi (bruised as well)

Thanks Sue, glad you, too have a sense of humour. Unfortunately, I was not drunk

so can't use that as an excuse.

Yikes June! What a way to wake up! As much pain as those poor feet

endure, breaking toes to add to the pain really stinks.

Hope you feel better soon.

OUCH, June. I hurt just reading about all that you hurt when you fell.

Did your arm need sutures? As a said, with all of your foot

problems you didn't need broken toes to add to the pain.

I hope you recuperate quickly and completely. Glad to see you were

able to find some humor and laugh........it's always better when you

can at least laugh at yourself........then we can laugh with you while

we cringe in pain........but it's really not funny, it sounds like it

hurts too much.

Thanks Elaine, unfortunately my skin cannot be stitched.( Prednisone skin) It

was very sore but is feeling better today. I have my preop on Monday so I would

prefer not to have an open wound. I will be meeting with the anaesthesetist to

see what we can do instead of a general . I am going to ask about a femoral

block. You are so right about humour, to me it is a vital part of coping, my sons

and grandsons all have great sense of humour and we all laugh a lot. How have

you been doing? Any better?

June,

I'm doing significantly better, feeling like a new person over the

past year. Thank you for asking. I'm nowhere near normal for most

people, but for me to feel so much better I'm happy. When you've hit

bottom, all improvement is greatly appreciated.

Have you ever tried steri-strips? My father-in-law has the thinnest

skin I've ever seen (does not take prednisone either) and can't even

use band-aids. However he does use steri-strips and they are

literally life savers to him.

Good luck with your surgery. I hope all goes well.

Elaine I am so happy you are feeling so much better, it is high time you got

some type of relief. No I have not tried steri-strips but plan on checking with

my pharmacist tomorrow. Thanks for the information along with your good wishes.
