Guest guest
Hillman is gone . . . he died, at home, on Thursday morning. At last year's Library of Congress event celebrating the Red Book, Hillman told a wonderful story about being a young man in Zurich when Jung died. Hillman went to Jung's home, a single white lily in his hand, and was allowed to spend a last moment with Jung. He remembered walking into the room and being overwhelmed with Jung's presence - and that Jung only cared about the work . . . the work was what was important, and Hillman had to get on with the work! Perhaps today that is the best that we can do as well . . . remember him with gratitude and fondness . . . and get on with the work.
