Meni, we are certainly anxious to hear what is causing this problem for you.

Could it be a yeast bloom by any chance? Please give us an update as soon as

you can.

Meniowl, are you having your liver function checked regularly? An ailing

liver can cause hives, I have heard. And you said you have been on Rezulin,

plus a lot of supplements?

Bummer, Meni!!! Let us know what the doc says. If it's your thyroid meds,

you can go back on the MSM, maybe? It really helps the

glucosamine-chondroitin

to work.

Hang in there!

Me too Susie! I don't believe it is yeast as my BS are fine and yeast usually

starts in the folds doesn't it?

Yes, my liver had been checked and all was fine there. I have never been on

Rezulin. You must be confusing me with someone else.

My Dr. is off this week so I got her associate tonight. I brought all the

pills that I take. Thought he was gonna crap when he saw all of them. Looks

like I could run my own pharmacy! So he said to STOP taking everything

unless it was life threatening. He took me off Armour = ( and is starting me

on a low dosage of Levothroid...bummer cause I am starting from scratch

again. It takes a while to increase thyroid meds and I was doing so good on

the Armour. He gave me Atarax for the hives/itchiness. And God am I itchy!

He is guessing is it my thyroid meds Barb. No way to tell since I was taking

lots of different things. I was guessing it was my thyroid med because I

just increased it and I had stopped all the other vitamins and stuff

yesterday. He does not think it is the thyroid but he changed it anyway.

The MSM contains sulfa and I know that I am allergic to sulfa so that is

still out. Bummer part is I have to stop the glucosamine-chondroitin also

now. He said it will take 2-3 weeks for these hives to clear up, then I can

start adding the supplements one at a time and to wait 2-3 weeks with each

one!
