Guest guest
Hi Karin, Can fully understand. It is hard, I agree. When I started at Mount Saint full of excitement and vigour this was short last. Unfortunately, I developed a severe Pseudmonas pneumonia and was unable to complete my year. Started the next year art Acadia University in Wolfville. It would take me seven years to complete a 4-year degree. Most often, my classes were part-time, as I was unwell and not able to carry a full course load. Graduated in October 2000 with a BA (Honours) in Sociology. Have not been well enough to complete further courses (have attempted) and have not been well enough to hold a job. Additionally, the way the system is set up if I work I lose med. coverage. It has proven impossible to get insurance to cover my pre-existing lung condition. My family doctor comes from Vancouver, so I will ask him about the availability of respirologists in BC. If you did move there, would it be possible for you to see a specialist in Alberta? Dr. Balter is right on about care in the Maritimes. I’m working on moving out of Nova Scotia to Alberta. Respiratory/bronch. care is terrible in Nova Scotia. He is correct that some of the best bronch. care maybe available within Ontario. This is due to research conducted at Sick Kids, and other hospitals, and greater number of respirologists. My lungs cannot stand the smog and summer humidity in Toronto. Will look at the links you sent tonight. Hope all is well, Hugs:0) e-mail:maryholt12@... or lungsformary@... Pre-Lung Transplant Journey - For updates please visit my carepage and leave a message.
