Guest guest
Hi Guys, I am such a terrible point in my life. My health insurance has gone up so much since January that I can not afford the plan I have any longer. That is not so bad because I found a much cheaper plan with basically the same benefits. Actually a better and cheaper plan than I had. This plan is half the cost of what I was paying. The problem is my doctor is not on this plan. He takes no insurance at all. I have been paying him 45.00 an office visit. The new plan with a new doctor is 15.00, quite a savings. I estimate I will save between 1200.00 and 1500.00 a year. Money I desperately need. The problem is I have been going to this doctor since I was 15 years old. I have know him over forty years. Our family when I was a kid, was one of his first patients. This is so hard to have and call him and tell him. He has become such a friend over the years. He took care of all my children. They have all had to leave him for insurance reasons. I don't know were I would have been without him with all the stomach problems. I still don't know what I will do without him. Hoping the new doctors knows all about whipple and all that comes with it. I am not worried about finding a good doctor. My sons father in law is a doctor and he will recommend a doctor he knows well. If only my current doctor took one insurance I would get that, but he doesn't. This is so hard and I don't know what to do. However, I just can't afford to continue the premiums I am paying and have to do this now. I am feeling bad and just thought I would write about it all.
