I am surprised to they send you home so quickly..usually when they do tonsillectomy on an adult they keep them a few days because of the swelling. I do know that kids bounce right back from this kid of surgery...but adults it takes some time. I remember when my mother had her tonsils out..it was a long hard road...she also had some problems with hemmoraging too.
