Guest guest Posted March 4, 2005 Report Share Posted March 4, 2005 I am totally frustrated! I desperately am trying to get my RA under control, and am still having quite a bit of pain. I started on a new drug combination 3 weeks ago, and am still waiting for it to take full effect. I was prescribed Tylenol 3's with Codeine for pain, but had a bile duct/liver spasm reaction to them and cannot take them anymore. I received a prescription for Percocet yesterday, and took my first dose last night. I took one pill at midnight, and was still laying in bed at 3pm today. I felt like I was hung-over and other than getting up to use the bathroom and have a bite to eat with my meds, couldn't think clearly. I am leary of taking another dose of the Percocet because I don't know if this is a " normal " reaction or if it's just that I am not used to taking it. What do most of you take for your RA pain management? I am finding that it's hit and miss with the meds. Finding the right combination is tricky and can take some time. Thanks...
