Guest guest
Hold on now everyone. First of all, I think it goes without saying we all have the right of free association, so people are free to do whatever they want, no? Also, who is to say that or anyone who joined that group would quit this one? I am 42 now but have had RA since age 4. I have been through all of the age groups, and I can tell you the 20s are tough! You have to be a professional, be in the dating scene, wear professional clothes (cool shoes, which I never could). And you always want to be perceived as being young, in spite of the fact that you move slower, have pain and even deformities that no one else you know has. I only found this group 3 weeks ago. This is the first RA support group I have ever had. If I were younger (back when I was oh, 7 or 13 or 18 or starting college or dating) I would want a group for my own age group, plus this one. Gee whiz--let's not push younger people away from this group when they only want what we all might have wanted, if we'd had access to it.
