Guest guest
My cervical and lumbar myelogram has been changed so many times that I feel like the bouncing patient. As of right now, it is scheduled for this Monday. I have to be there for 7:00 am and will be in the hospital for 6 hours after the procedure lying flat and then will have to come home and take it easy for 24 hours. I've heard from my massage therapist that body wraps draw toxins from your body. She also has fibromyalgia and says when she has a body wrap she feels great for a week. I am going to have a body wrap done on Tuesday afternoon and then my regular massage next Friday. I will see if that brings any improvement in my pain. The key is to drink lots of water to flush those toxins out. That seems to be my most difficult problem is drinking the water, but I am working on it. This week I was in a flare due to stress and it has been raining for a couple of days and is supposed to rain through at least Monday, which of course doesn't help with the fibro. I am, however, in an upbeat mood which helps. That is a miracle in itself considering what my teenagers have put me through in the past week, lol. Oh the joy of raising teenagers! lol I hope everyone has a great weekend and is as pain free as possible. love y'all, Sundra
Guest guest
Hey Sundra, Great to see you back :-) Hugs hun... I'm soooo sorry you're in so much pain and doing the bouncing patient thing. Let me know how your body wrap goes. I'd be interested in giving that a try myself. Do they wrap you up in Saran Wrap??? hehehehe. I'm very ignorant on this things. I have absolutely no knowledge of what they do. Give me all the info you find out and let me know how you feel afterwards. And don't forget to drink your water... hehehe... Guest guest
Hi Norah, Nope, no saran wrap, lol. They use cotton strips of cloth that are sort of like an ace bandage. They are soaked in a solution of herbs, aloe, seaweed etc and are heated to 150 degrees F. You have your underwear on and they wrap you and after that they put something on you that is sort of like a rain suit and rain boots, lol. You stay that way for 1 hour. They unwrap you and voila you are done. They "say" you can lose 5-15 inches in one wrap and it isn't water loss. It is supposed to be great for cellulite. I'll let you know how it goes. Those 150 degree cloths sound wonderful though. I love heat with this #$%^ fibro. healing hugs, Sundra -- Re: Update on Me/Sundra-long, sorry Hey Sundra,Great to see you back :-) Hugs hun...
